Feast with a Demon

Feast with a Demon Mihaela Griveva

Research on the project was inspired by the idea of accessing the duality in ones character as a creative force.

The original Greek word daimon (demon) doesn’t carry the negative connotation we use nowadays. The word δαίμων daímōn means “dispenser, god, protective spirit”. The origin of the word confirms that opposite forces are actually complementary rather than opposing and both can be used as a creative force.

Through movement research I discovered playful and complex character traits and harnessed them for the choreography. The project was filmed by Bobi.in and Vladimir Gruev in Sofia’s Museum of History, Bulgaria.
