Happy New Year!
I’m excited about the new challenges and adventures the year will bring.
It’s January but it feels like spring here in Bulgaria. I’m getting ready for the “Dance Performance Technique” workshop I’m teaching from the 3rd – 7th of February. The intensive is part of Dance PORT Derida (2013-2014), a year-long training program in contemporary dance at the Derida Dance Centre in Sofia.
The main goal of the workshop is to prepare dancers mentally and physically for a performance state. On the 8th of February the participants will perform the dance material generated from the week.
I’m delighted to work with the Derida Dance Centre. It is the first contemporary dance centre in Bulgaria. The ambitious team have already completed many successful projects. At the moment they are working on the international project “Rivers of Europe” (RIVE).
The workshop is open to intermediate and advanced level dancers. I’m looking forward to sharing my experience and meeting the participants.
